AML Policy

General anti-money-laundering awareness for online casino users, including verification, source-of-funds checks, and safer payments.

Why Verification Happens

Know your customer

Identity verification exists because financial regulation requires operators to know who holds an account. Being asked for identity documents before a first withdrawal is normal rather than a stalling tactic, though it is often experienced as one because the request arrives at the least welcome moment.

Source of funds

Larger or unusual transaction patterns can trigger a source-of-funds request. Being able to show that money came from salary or another legitimate source is straightforward for most people, and keeping ordinary records makes it simpler.

Mule Accounts: The Serious Risk

What it means

A mule account is one used to receive or pass on funds for someone else. Allowing your bank account or eWallet to be used this way, including as a favour to someone you know, is treated seriously under Malaysian anti-money-laundering law.

The practical consequence

Account holders have had accounts frozen and faced prosecution even where they believed they were helping a friend. Never receive gambling-related funds on another person's behalf, never accept payment to let someone use your account, and never deposit using an account that is not yours.
