Individual author and reviewer credits are published once named editorial staff are assigned. Until then, accountability sits with the organisation and the process described below.
How We Verify
Primary sources first
Payment claims are checked against the system operators themselves — PayNet for FPX and DuitNow, Bank Negara Malaysia for e-money regulation. App distribution claims are checked against Apple and Google's published developer policies. Every guide cites these directly so you can verify independently rather than taking our word for it.
Hands-on checks
Where a claim is observable — install flows, permission requests, stream data usage, support response behaviour — we check it on real devices and state when. Each guide carries a note describing exactly what was checked and the month it happened.
Unknowns stay unknown
Where we cannot verify something, we report it as unverified. Our CitiNow review states that we could not locate a published licensing authority, because an honest gap is more useful to you than a confident invention.
Independence and Its Limits
The conflict, stated plainly
We earn commission when readers register through commercial links, sometimes on an ongoing revenue-share basis. That gives us a financial interest in you signing up. We cannot eliminate that conflict, so we manage it: commission rates play no part in coverage or conclusions, we publish our bonus comparison arithmetic so you can check our reasoning, and we publish criticism of platforms we hold commercial relationships with.
What we refuse
We do not sell ratings, accept payment for a conclusion, publish operator-supplied copy as editorial, or give operators advance sight of what we write.
Corrections
How to report an error
Email editorial@citinowdownload.com with the page and what you believe is wrong. We check every report.
How we handle them
Confirmed factual errors are corrected as soon as verified. Material corrections are noted on the page rather than made silently, and the last-updated date on every page reflects when it was genuinely reviewed.
